Después de unos cuantos meses sin escribir, vuelvo con esmaltes. Hace un mes compré uno de los nuevos esmaltes que ha sacado Avon, son los efecto Gel Finish, en tono Fabulous. Es una mezcla entre coral tirando a rosa-rojo... dependiendo de la luz que le dé. De todas maneras, es PRECIOSO: esto ha sido amor a primera vista. Después de probarlo, al mes siguiente he conseguido comprarme 12 tonos más, de los 19 que hay en total. En principio dicen que tiene 7 beneficios en 1, que son los siguientes:
- Brillo
- Acabado efecto gel
- Color vivo
- Base coat o capa base incluída
- Top coat o capa de arriba incluída
- Protección
- Fortalecedor de uñas
Hi everyone! After going a couple of months without posting, I'm back with some nail polishes. About a month ago I bought one of the new polishes that AVON released from the Gel Finish line - I bought Fabulous: it's a mixture of coral, almost redish. It depends on the light it's on. Anyways, it's STUNNING: it was love at first sight. After trying it, I bought 12 more bottles of the 19 they have of this line. They claim to have 7 properties in 1: (1) Shine, (2), Gel Finish Effect, (3)Bright color, (4) Base coat included, (5)Top coat included, (6) Protection and (7) Nail-Hardener.
Yo diría que sí cumplen los 7 beneficios. De todas formas, con la idea de una de mis hermanas pequeñas, he decidido pintarme una uña de cada color (lo siento pero como sólo tengo 10 dedos en las manos sólo probaré 10 tonos) y no tocármelas durante 7 días para averiguar cuánto duran.
I'd say they do fit the seven benefits they claim to have. Anyways, I'm going to do one of my little sister's suggestions: I painted my nails one color each (I'm sorry I only have 10 fingers so I'm only testing out 10 colors) and I'm going to test them and see how long they hold up before chipping.
Empecé ayer 29/03/2014 y el 8/04/2014 subiré a youtube como han quedado. Esto no sólo va a ser un reto para probar los esmaltes en sí, también para mí, ya que soy incapaz de estar más de 3 días con la misma manicura... Pero bueno, todo esto lo haré por el bien de la CIENCIA! jajaja...
I started yesterday (March 29th '14), and I'll be uploading the video 7 days after, on April the 8th '14. This isn't just going to be a test for the nail polish, I'll also be testing myself since I'm incapable of having the same design on my nails for more than 3 days.. Still, I'm doing this for science! hahaha...
Algunos son con brillo (como purpurina) y otros satinados. El pincel que trae es pequeño, lo cual creo que está muy bien ya que la textura de los esmaltes es bastante acuosa y si el pincel fuera grande te llenarías la mano entera de esmalte. Algunos tonos, sobre todos los oscuros, con una capa llega de sobra. Los más claritos como el Sheer love y el Limoncello, para que quede bien es necesario pasarle dos capas. La primera capa no tarda mucho en secarse, la segunda ya tarda un poco más. Yo diría que hay que estar 2 o 5 minutos dejando secar, dependiendo de la cantidad de esmalte que pongas.
Some of them are shiny (with sparkles), others are satin. The brush the bottle comes with is rather small but it's great because the formula has a watery consistency, and if the brush were to be wide I think we'd all get our hands messy. Some hues (like the darker ones) are good to go with one coat. Others, the lightest colors need at least two coats - the first coat doesn't take too long to dry but the second does a little, you need 2 to 5 minutes to dry completely.
Otro dato interesante, ya trae "base coat" incluído, por lo que si antes de aplicar el esmalte gel, aplicas otro base coat, va a tardar la misma vida en secarse. Yo no recomendaría aplicar nada, simplemente el esmalte y listo. Mejor, ¿no? Menos pasos que dar.
A fun fact: the formula has the base coat included, so if you apply a base coat before the nail polish, it willl take long to dry. I wouldn't recommend applying a base coat, just nail polish and ready to go! Isn't it convenient? Less steps to do your manicure. Well, that has been all for today! See you in 7 days...
